Q 1: The Imam (the one who leads congregational Prayer) of our district
says Takbir (saying: "Allahu Akbar [Allah is the Greatest]") before Ruku` (bowing) while he is still standing,
then he turns slightly to the right so that his voice is picked up by the microphone, and then performs Ruku`. Is this permissible? Does it affect the validity of Salah (Prayer)?
A:
Takbir for Ruku` should be pronounced during bowing. The same applies to the Takbir during Salah while moving from one position to the other. As for
slightly turning the head, it is Makruh (disliked) except if there is a valid reason, but it does not invalidate Salah. (Part No. 5; Page No. 374) May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
